Andy Borgia, CLU
Andy Borgia founded DI4MDS nearly 50 years ago and built the company through his deep experience with physicians to design their life and disability protection. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter and has advised tens of thousands of residents, fellows, and staff at medical groups, clinics, and hospitals across the United States. Because Andy is not affiliated with any one insurance company, he is able to work in the best interest of his clients. He enjoys spending time with family, studying disability insurance, and is a triathlete, cyclist, and avid traveler. Andy is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and Society of Financial Service Professionals. His professional business philosophy is to follow the CLU pledge and serve his clients to the absolute best of his professional ability as he would want to be served.

D.K. Unger is a highly experienced disability insurance specialist, let him put his decade plus of expertise in analyzing disability insurance policies to work for you. Operating independently, he strives to identify optimal plans that strike a balance between affordability and comprehensiveness. His staunch advocacy helps consistently ensure favorable underwriting decisions for his clients. Central to his business philosophy is to treat each client like his only client.
Jenna Borgia
Jenna grew up in the insurance business. Her earliest memories of coloring are “improving” insurance company logos. The Pacific Life whale was her favorite. Jenna’s connection to disability insurance is personal—her lived experience drives her commitment to ensuring professionals (especially her female clients) protect their income in the event of unexpected life events. A former educator and customer success executive in the tech space for over a decade, Jenna is thrilled to have joined the family business. The throughline in Jenna’s professional career is client empowerment + advocacy. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and two kiddos.
Catherine Borgia
Cathy Borgia handles all DI4MDs financials and oversees producer license renewals and billing for our large physician group clients. She has a B.S. Degree in Business Management from Arizona State University. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling the world, and working out, and is the world’s greatest Mimi (her official title as Grandma).
Emily Potgeter
Emily Potgeter runs the DI4MDS office and keeps all the trains running on time. Emily moved to San Diego from West Michigan, where she received her degree in Business Administration from Grand Valley State University. Emily has a background in finance and education. When Emily is not at work she enjoys going to the beach, spending time with her fiancé and cats, and exploring her new home in sunny San Diego.
